Two products have been recalled; they are Udi’s Classic Hamburger Buns, for foreign materials, and QQ Fish Fish Ball Products for undeclared egg. No injuries or allergic reactions have been reported for either of these products.
The first recall is for Udi Bun Classic Hamburger, sold in 8 count 10.4 ounce packages, because there may be small pieces of white plastic in the buns. The recall is for 2200 cases of this product. The company discovered that the issue occurred when a dough scraper was inadvertently incorporated into the production process for a small amount of the product.
The hamburger buns were sold in the U.S. The case UPC number for this product is 10-6-98997-80913-2, and the item UPC number is 00-6-98997-80913-5. The bag closure code is 191971U. The buns are sold in clear plastic bags. The UPC number is located on the back of the bag in the lower right corner. The bag closure code is on the hard plastic closure for the bag.
The second recall is for Great One Trading QQ Fish Balls, for undeclared egg, one of the major food allergens. Anyone who is allergic to egg could have a serious reaction if they eat this product. No illnesses have been reported.
The recalled products are all QQ Fish brand, and are all sold in 200 gram packages. The expiration date on all of these products is 01/19/2020. The recalled products include Mushroom Fish Ball with UPC number 8886325910123; Tofu Style Fried Fish Cake with UPC number 8886325910116; Crab Flavoured Seafood Ball with UPC number 8886323239004; CuttleFish Flavoured Seafood Ball with UPC number 8886323239011; and Shrimp Flavoured Seafood Ball with UPC number 8886323239028.
The egg was not revealed on the packaging. Investigation showed that the problem was caused by a manufacturer labeling error.
If you purchased these items, do not eat them. Throw them away or take them back to the store where you bought them for a full refund.
