Whole Foods is recalling products made with Satur Farms Baby Spinach because it may be contaminated with Salmonella bacteria. Satur recalled Baby Spinach and Mesclun this week. No illnesses have been reported to the company or to public health officials to date.
Th4e recalled products include salads, sandwiches and wraps, and pizza, were sold at Whole Foods stores in Connecticut, Florida, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, and Rhode Island. The recalled items were labeled with a Whole Foods Market scale label. In addition, anyone who b ought items containing baby spinach from the salad bars or hot bars at Whole Foods Market stores in those states should discard any item purchased through January 23, 2019.

The recalled Satur Farms Baby Spinach products include Chicken Florentine Panini, Golden Beet & Tangerine Salad, Locavore Cheese Steak Wrap, Salad Spring Berry Power, Spinach and Vegetable Quinoa Salad, Strawberry Balsamic Quinoa CC, Turkey Avocado Sandwich, Vegan Spinach Almond Ricotta Pizza, Chicken Cordon Blue Panini, Bistro Pasta Salad, Breakfast Sandwich Platter, Tofu Shawarma Wrap, Spinach Ravioli Salad with Lemon, Tomato, and Parmesan CC, Mesclun Mix with Candied Pecans & Sun Dried Cranberries, Mustard Crusted Salmon, Large Goat Cheese Green Salad, Sandwich Baguette Turkey Brie, Smoked Mozzarella Pasta, Paleo Mediterranean Tuna Salad, Egg White & Spinach Breakfast, Eggplant Rolantini, and Cilantro & Lime Chicken Burrito, among others.
Please check your fridge and freezer carefully to see if you purchased any of these items. If you did, throw them away in a secure garbage can with a tight fitting lid so other people and animals can’t get to them. You can also take the products back to the place of purchase for a refund.
