Dogs can contract Salmonella infections and pass them to the humans they live with through contaminated feces. And people can get sick if they touch the animal or the pet food and don’t wash their hands before eating or touching their mouths.

A single sample of the dog food tested positive in a random sampling test that was conducted by the Office of the Texas State Chemist. If you bought this product, do not feed it to your pet. Tou can throw the food away in a secure garbage can, or you can take it back to the place of purchase for a full refund.

Then clean out your pet’s bowls and any utensil that touched the food with hot soap and water. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water after cleaning and after handling this food. If your pet is ill, see your veterinarian.
