Dairyland Produce jalapeños are being recalled for possible Salmonella contamination. The recall notice did not state whether or not any illnesses have been reported to date in connection with the consumption of this product. The recalling firm is Dairyland Produce, doing business as Hsardie’s Fresh Foods of Houston and Dallas, Texas.

The recalled jalapenos were sold in Costco store locations #1487, located at 12717 Network drive in Stafford, Texas, and in Costco store #0655, located at 8282 Park Lane in Dallas, Texas. The jalapeños are packaged in clear plastic bags with labels like the picture above.
The recalled lot codes are X2741775, X2741859, X2744163, X2744706, X2746349, X2746490, and X2748743. The production dates are: 26192 (07/11/26), 26196 (07/15/26), 26197 (07/16/26), 26199 (07/18/26), and 26203 (07/22/26). The jalapeños were repacked by Hardie’s Fresh Foods. That company has stopped the production and distribution of this product.
If you bought those jalapeños with those lot codes and production dates, from either of those two Costco stores, do not eat them, even if you plan to cook with them, because of the possibility of cross-contamination. You can throw the jalapeños away in a secure garbage can with a tight fitting lid, after first double bagging or wrapping them so other people can’t see them, or you can take them back to the store where you purchased them for a full refund.
If you ate these peppers, especially if they were eaten uncooked, monitor your health for the symptoms of Salmonella food poisoning for the next week. If you do get sick, see your doctor.
