Bread and Buns Recalled for Foreign Materials

BBU Inc, the parent of Bimbo Bakeries companies is recalling many different types of bread products because they may contain foreign materials. Flexible wire may be in the products, from a faulty screen at a third party flour mill. The products are no longer for sale in retail stores, but consumers may have them in their homes. Please check your pantry and freezer to see if you have any of the products. You can see the full list of products, names, states where they were sold, and best by dates at the FDA site. Special K Cereal Recalled for Possible Glass Fragments

Kellogg Company is recalling some batches of its Special K Red Berries cereal because they may contain pieces of glass. The recall covers only that variety of the cereal. The cereal was sold nationwide. The recalled cereal includes the 11.2 ounce package of Special K Red Berries cereal with UPC number 38000 59923 and "better if used before" dates of DEC 02 2013 KNC 105 00:13 through DEC 02 2013 KNC 105 02:30. Nature’s Variety Recalls Instinct Cat and Dog Food For Plastic Pieces

Nature's Variety is recalling one batch of Instinct® Raw Organic Chicken Formula for dogs and cats because clear plastic was found in some of the bags which may pose a choking risk to pets. The source of the plastic has been identified and the issue has been resolved. There have been no reports of harm to pets, but a consumer complaint alerted the company to the problem. Lean Cuisine Mushroom Mezzaluna Ravioli Recalled for Glass Fragments

Nestle Prepared Foods is recalling two production codes of Lean Cuisine® Mushroom Ravioli because it may contain fragments of glass. Three consumers reported they found small pieces of glass in the ravioli portion of the product. No injuries were reported by the consumers. The recalled product is Lean Cuisine® Culinary Collection Mushroom Mezzaluna Ravioli. The UPC number is 13800-58358, with a best before date of DEC 2013. The production codes are 2311587812 and 2312587812. No other production dates, sizes, or varieties of Lean Cuisine® products are affected by this recall. Country Fried Steaks Sold at Walmart Recalled for Foreign Materials

AdvancePierre Foods of Oklahoma is recalling about 15,328 pounds of frozen, fully cooked country fried steaks because they may contain foreign materials. Pieces of plastic were found in the product; two customers complained to the company. One person received an "oral injury" while eating the product. The problem was caused by a piece of plastic bin that was introduced into the production process and then broken into smaller pieces. The recalled product includes 22.75-ounce pouches of "Fast Classics Country Fried Steaks" and 8.5 pound cases of the steaks, each containing six pouches. Fast Classics Fried Chicken Breasts Recalled for Foreign Materials

Advance Pierre Foods of Oklahoma is recalling 1,200 pounds of chicken fried chicken breasts that may contain small pieces of metal. The company received two consumer complaints. A small metal hand tool apparently fell into a grinder at the facility. Metal detectors at the facility discovered the problem, but product was packaged and shipped before all affected chicken was diverted. There are no reports of injury associated with the consumption of this product. Annie’s Recalling Homegrown Frozen Pizza for Foreign Objects

Annie's Inc. is recalling all varieties of Annie's Rising Crust Frozen Pizza after learning that a fine metal mesh screen failed at a supplier's flour mill and fragments of the mesh were found in the flour and in the pizza dough. The wires were too small to be detected by Annie's metal control programs and magnets and could be in the finished products. Izzy’s Ice Cream Recalled for Possible Glass Fragments

Izzy's Ice Cream of Minnesota is recalling three flavors of their product after workers found glass fragments in cinnamon used to make the ice cream. The cinnamon was purchased by Izzy's from a third party. There have been no customer complaints or reports of illness associated with the consumption of these products. The ice cream recalled is Soy (Non-Dairy) Pumpkin, Pumpkin, and Cinnamon with lot numbers beginning with 1211 and 1212. LifeVantage Recalls Protandim Dietary Supplements for Foreign Materials

LifeVantage Corporation is recalling select lots of Protandim®, the Nrf2 Synergizer® dietary supplement because there may be small metal fragments in the final product. The fragments were discovered in batches of turmeric extract, an ingredient that came from a third party supplier. The supplement is packaged in a cylindrical blue bottle, with 30 caplets per bottle.
