Suzanna’s Kitchen Recalls Breaded Chicken for Foreign Materials

Suzanna's Kitchen of Georgia is recalling about 35,800 pounds of breaded chicken products because they may contain pieces of plastic. A consumer found the plastic in the products. The pieces may have originated from the plastic bag the products were held in before production. No complaints of injury or illness have been reported at this time. The recalled products are cases containing twelve 12-ounce cartons of "Freebird Fully Cooked Chicken Nuggets" with an identifying case code of "6220" and use-by date of March 15, 2014. The cases have a Julian code of "2075". Ranbaxy Recalling Atorvastatin Calcium Tablets for Possible Contamination

Ranbaxy Inc. is recalling Atorvastatin Calcium Supplements because they may contain very small glass particles that are tinier than a grain of sand. There have not been any reports of adverse events related to the recall. The products are in 10 mg, 20 mg, and 40 mg solid oral dosage form. This recall does not affect the 80 mg dosage strength. The size of the glass particles is to small that a significant safety concern is unlikely, but still possible. The product is used to lower blood cholesterol. Stanley’s Recalls 16,100 Pounds Of Kielbasa

Stanley's Market Brands, LLC, of Toledo, Ohio  is recalling approximately 16,100 pounds of kielbasa products because they may contain small pieces of plastic.  The company initiated the recall after being told by its supplier that the marjoram ingredient in the spice mix used in the kielbasa products was being withdrawn from the market by the supplier for potentially containing foreign materials. No injuries have been reported in association with these products. Wegmans Recalls Pumpkin Roll for Possible Foreign Object

Wegmans is recalling all date codes of Wegmans Pumpkin Roll because the product may contain pieces of plastic. This may present a choking and injury hazard. The products can be returned to Wegmans stores for a full refund. The problem was discovered via customer complaints. The recalled products are the 21 ounce whole roll, with UPC number 77890-99686, the 10 ounce half roll with UPC number 77890-36693, and the 6 ounce two slices package with UPC number 77890-36684. Rudi's Organic Bakery Inc. is recalling products because they may contain metallic foreign objects either in the products or in the packaging. You can see all of the product labels at the FDA site. Milford Valley Farms Crunchy Chicken Strips Recalled for Contamination

Serenade Foods Inc. of Indiana is recalling about 2,250 pounds of crunchy chicken strips because they may contain fragments of plastic, according to the USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS). the recalled product is Milford Valley Farms Crunchy Chicken Strips in 7.5 pound cases containing 30-ounce cartons. The cartons have the establishment number "P-2375" inside the USDA mark of inspection. They also have UPC number 0-73981-32286-7 and  a use-by date of January 17, 2014. The products were packaged on January 17, 2012 and shipped to a distributor in Lakeland, Florida for further distribution. Two consumer complaints alerted the FSIS to the problem. Penn State University Creamery Recalls Ice Cream

The University Creamy at Penn State is voluntarily recalling all ice cream and frozen yogurt made between May 16, 2012 and August 11, 2012 because of reports of isolated incidents of small plastic foreign objects in the products. The ice cream was manufactured and sold from the Berkey Creamery on the University Park campus of Penn State and was also available for purchase on the internet from the Creamery's web site. University police are involved in this recall; they launched a criminal investigation into the possible contamination. Three reports from consumers have detailed small pieces of plastic, about .82 inches in size, in half gallon containers in the ice cream. Klement Sausage Company of Wisconsin is recalling about 2,920 pounds of frozen bratwurst patties because they may contain pieces of ap lstic pen. The product is 10-pound cases containing 4-ounce patties of Klement Sausage Co. Bratwurst Patty. The products were produced on July 6, 2012. The packages have the establishment number "EST. 2426B" in the USDA mark of inspection. Each case label has the batch number "21097". The products were distributed for foodservice use in Iowa, Kentucky, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. Winn-Dixie Stores are voluntarily recalling self-serve bulk Sunrise Assorted Flavor Gummy Bears. The product was sold in produce departments between November 14 and December 13, 2011 and may contain metal fragments.
