SM Fish Corp. of Far Rockaway, NY, is recalling OSSIE’S brand ready-to-eat Herring Salads because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. Consumers who have purchased these salads should not eat them as Listeria can cause serious illness and death. The recalled products were sold at the company's eight retail outlets in New York and New Jersey. They were packaged in plastic deli containers with “Best By” date codes of 7/21/16 through 08/20/16.
