When the FDA discovers that a company has significantly violated federal regulations, the agency issues a warning letter. These letters enumerate some of the key violations and instruct the offender to devise and execute a plan to correct them within a designated timeline. AA Poultry Recalled for Unapproved Processing Chemical
AA Poultry Processing of Ridgeland, Wis. is recalling approximately 2,191 pounds of chicken and 21 pounds of turkey products that may have been contaminated with trichloro-s-triazinetrione, a disinfectant not approved for use in poultry processing. These products should not be eaten or sold. The recalled poultry, sold as whole and cut chicken and turkey pieces, was produced on various dates from May 4, 2015 through May 11, 2015. The establishment number “P-45525” appears inside the USDA mark of inspection.
