Canyon Creek Soup Co. of Edmonton, Alberta Canada is recalling approximately 7,275 pounds of meatball soup products that were not presented at the U.S. point of entry for inspection. Consumers who have purchased these products should not eat them. The recalled soup kit containing broth with meatballs, rice noodles, sriracha packets, and hoisin packets were imported on Jan. 29, 2016 and shipped to retail outlets in California. They were labeled “Vietnamese inspired Pho Bo Vein,” and marked with the code 16AL20 or 16AL24. The establishment number “EST. 422” appears inside the USDA mark of inspection. Rustico Foods of Los Angeles is recalling approximately 2,659 pounds of packaged soup products because they were produced outside inspection hours and there did not have the benefit of federal inspection. Consumers who have purchased these products should not eat them. They should be thrown out or returned to the place of purchase. The recalled soups: Chicken Matzo Ball in 2-pound and 1.6 pound containers; turkey chili with beans in 1.6 pound containers, and chicken vegetable in 1.6 pound containers were produced from Sept. 24, 2015, through Oct. 21, 2015. Giant Eagle Market District Italian Style Wedding Soup is being recalled for undeclared allergens egg and soy. Consumers with these allergies should not eat this product as they risk serious reactions if they do. No adverse reactions had been reported at the time of the recall. The recalled product was made by Fresh Food Manufacturing in Freedom, Pa. on Oct. 9, 2014 and sold in 24-oz. cups in retail stores in Maryland, Ohio and Pennsylvania.
