SunRidge Farms Recalls More Peanut Butter and Treats for Possible Salmonella

Falcon Trading Company/SunRidge Farms is recalling more products because they were made with recalled Sunland ingredients. The peanuts may be contaminated with Salmonella. This company recalled peanut candies in September for the same reason. The products were sold in bulk bins. The recalled products include 481 cases of  SunRidge Chocolate Brownie Squares in 10 pound cases. The item code is 021116, UPC number is 086700211168, and all lot codes are included in the recall. Also recalled are 233 cases of SunRidge Chocolate Double Decker Chew in 10 pound cases. The item code is 021117 and UPC number 086700211175. All lot codes are included. Huge Number of Peanut Butter Ice Cream Desserts Recalls for Possible Salmonella

Six companies are recalling various types of peanut butter ice cream because they were made with Sunland Inc. products that have been recalled for possible Salmonella contamination. Sunland made Trader Joe's Valencia peanut butter that has been linked to a Salmonella Bredeney outbreak in the United States. Bliss Unlimited is recalling Luna & Larry's Coconut Bliss Chocolate Peanut Butter Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert with code dates Nov 11 2012 through Oct 24 2013. The product was distributed to retail stores nationwide between November 2010 and December 2011. It is packaged in one pint (473 ml) paperboard containers with UPC code 8 96767 00121 9 on the back of the container. It also has a stamp with 41-61  on the bottom. General Mills Recalls Cascadian Farm Granola Bars for Possible Salmonella

General Mills is recalling several varieties of Cascadian Farm granola bars because they were made with recalled peanuts from Sunland, Inc. Those nuts have been recalled because of possible contamination with Salmonella bacteria. There is a Salmonella Bredeney outbreak linked to Trader Joe's Valencia peanut butter produced by Sunland, but no illnesses have been linked to Cascadian Farm products. Harry and David of Oregon is expanding its recall of products made with or containing peanut butter manufactured by Sunland, Inc. Those products are being recalled for possible Salmonella contamination. Gretchen's Shoebox Express in Seattle Washington is expanding its voluntary recall of Starbucks brand Protein Bistro Box to include more "Enjoy By" dates of 9/28/12 and 9/30/12 - 10/6/12. This is in response to the expansion of Justin's Nut Butter recall of its 0.5 ounce single-serve Honey Peanut Butter squeeze packs. Those packs were made with products from Sunland, Inc. that have been recalled for possible Salmonella contamination. The original recall covered products with "Enjoy By" dates of 9/02/12 to 9/27/12. Sunland Expands Salmonella Peanut Butter Recall: All Products Made After March 1, 2010

Sunland has expanded its ongoing recall of nut products for possible Salmonella contamination to include ALL products manufactured in its Peanut Butter Plant after March 1, 2010. The expanded recall adds 139 products, including all previously identified Peanut Butter, Almond Butter, Cashew Butter, and Tahini products, as well as Roasted Blanched Peanut Products. None of the 139 additional products have been associated with any reported illness to date. On September 22, 102, the CDC and the FDA reported that an outbreak of Salmonella Bredeney linked to Trader Joe's Valencia peanut butter, manufactured by Sunland, has sickened 29 people in the United States. Peanut Butter Salmonella Bredeney Outbreak Grows Again

The outbreak of Salmonella Bredeney linked to Trader Joe's Valencia Creamy Peanut Butter has grown to include 35 people in 19 states. Eight people have been hospitalized and there have been no deaths. Sixty-three percent of outbreak victims are children under the age of 10. The case count by state is: Arizona (1), California (5), Connecticut (3), Illinois (1), Louisiana (1), Massachusetts (3), Maryland (1), Michigan (1), Minnesota (1), Missouri (2), Nevada (1), New Jersey (2), New York (1), North Carolina (1), Pennsylvania (2), Rhode Island (1), Texas (5), Virginia (1), and Washington (2). FDA Finds Salmonella in Sunland Inc. Nut Butter Production Facility; Recall Expanded

The Food and Drug Administration has just released a report saying they found Salmonella at the Sunland Inc. nut butter production facility in New Mexico. Products from that plant have been linked to a Salmonella Bredeney outbreak that has sickened at least 35 people in 19 states. The government is conducting more analysis to identify the specific strain of Salmonella found. The recall of Sunland products has been expanded to include all products made in that facility between March 1, 2010 and September 24, 2012. Whole Foods Recalls Spring Rolls and Noodles For Possible Salmonella

Whole Foods Market is recalling two items from a single store because the products were made from Sunland peanuts that may be contaminated with Salmonella bacteria. The products were sold in the grab and go section and at the full service chef's case. The store is at 2955 Kirby Drive in Houston, Texas. The recalled products are Chicken Spring Rols with UPC number 225757203997 and a sell by date of 10/1 or 10/2. Also recalled are Peanut Sesame Noodles with UPC number 222099604192, with either a sold on date of 9/27 or 9/28 or a sell by date of 10/1 or 10/2/2012.
