Harris Teeter grocery chain is recalling products served in its Service Seafood Department because they contain onions that may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The dishes include Crab Stuffed Flounder, with code #0020822400000, Crab Stuffed Salmon, with code #0020822500000, Crab Stuffed Tilapia, with code #0020822600000. Also recalled are 4 ounce Maryland Style Crab Cakes, with product code #0020967400000, Deviled Stuffed Crab with code #0020966700000. The 4 ounce Charleston Crab Cake with code #0020966900000, 4 ounce Signature Lump Crab Cake with code #002096700000, and 3 ounce Signature Lobster Cake with product code #0020967100000 are also recalled.
Harris Teeter was informed by 3 Fish, Inc, the supplier of the products, that they contain the potentially contaminated onions. The grocery has removed the items from store shelves. Customers who bought these products after September 3, 2012 should return them to the place of purchase.
