Tropoical Nut and Fruit Co. of Orlando Florida is recalling five lots of the snack mix called “Chia ReCharged Stix Mix” because they may contain undeclared peanuts, one of the major food allergens. Those with allergies to peanuts may suffer a life-threatening reaction if they consume this product. No illnesses have been reported to date.
The recalled product is sold in 5 ounce pouches. The UPC number is 0 94184 01014 6. It was distributed between June 6, 2012 and October 23, 2012 to wholesalers and retail stores nationwide. The affected lot numbers are stamped on the master case. They are: 052112, 060512, 071712, 080212, and 081612. The best before dates of the recalled products are from 01/20/13 to 04/17/13.
