IGA Ice Cream Recalled for Undeclared Allergens

Dairy Fresh is recalling one batch of IGA brand ice cream because it may contain almonds, coconut, and soy that are not declared on the label. Those ingredients can cause severe or life-threatening allergic reactions in some people. One customer experienced an allergic reaction after consuming the product.

The recalled ice cream is IGA Brand “Vanilla & Chocolate” Ice Cream in 1.75 quart (1.66 liter) containers. The ice cream has plant code “3783” and a SELL BY date of 8-13-13. The containers contain Heavenly Hash ice cream, which does have almonds, coconut, and soy. The UPC number is 4127046131. The product is sold at IGA stores.
