In Canada, Kettle Korn Recalled for Undeclared Milk

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is recalling Hevy D’s Old Fashioned Kettle Korn because it contains undeclared milk, one of the major food allergens. There have been no illnesses reported in connection with the consumption of this product.

The reclled product is Caramel Flavour Gourmet Popcorn, sold in 190 gram containers. The best before dates are up to and including 02 OCT 2013. The UPC number is 6 28396 00100 7. It was distributed in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, and Saskatchewan and may have been distributed in other provinces and territories.

This product was recalled before: on April 26, 2013 and April 29, 2013. The “best before” dates have been updated to include more products. And in those earlier reports, Co-Op Gold Toffee Kettle Korn was also recalled; that UPC number is 0 57316 15440 8 and best before date up to and including 14 OCT 2013. If you purchased these products and are allergic to milk, do not eat them. Return to the place of purchase for a refund.
