Precautionary Recall for Texas Gulf Shrimp sold at HEB

Galveston Shrimp Company is issuing a precautionary voluntary recall of its pre-packaged Texas Gulf Shrimp because foreign material was found in a bag. The shrimp is sold in HEB stores. There is no word on what the foreign material is. If you have purchased this product, please check your fridge and freezer to see if you have it on hand; if so, return it to the place of purchase for a refund.

Recall SignSome of the recalled products are Medium Raw Wild Gulf Brown Shrimp, 51/60 Count and Medium Raw Wild Gulf White Shrimp 51/60 count. The UPC numbers for those products areĀ 27241-45451, 27241-45551, and 793573-86138. Also recalled is Large Raw Wild Gulf Brown Shrimp in 31/42 Count size, with UPC numbersĀ 27241-45430, 27241-45436, 27241-45530, 27241-45536, 27241-45431, 27241-45531, 793573-86135, 793573-86136, and 79357386145.

You can see the remaining recalled products, including UPC numbers and Count sizes, at the FDA web site. The company stated that “this recall is precautionary to ensure the integrity of our products.”
