Frozen Chicken Product Recalled for Undeclared Allergens

AdvancePierre Foods of Oklahoma is recalling 8,730 pounds of frozen chicken breast products because they contain the undeclared allergens milk and soy. Anyone with an allergy to those ingredients could have a serious reaction if they consume this product. No reports of adverse reactions have been received to date.

The recalled product is “Our Down Home Style Chicken Breast Fritters for Chicken Frying” in 10 pound packages. The lot codes areĀ 5440730403 or 5440800403, and they were produced on March 14 and March 21, 2014. They have the UPC number 36541 and the establishment number “P-226oY” inside the USDA mark of inspection. They were distributed to food service establishments inĀ Arkansas, Colorado, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, New Mexico, New York, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah and Virginia.

The problem was discovered during a company label review. The company inadvertently used labels with an incorrect label ingredient statement. If you purchased this product and are allergic to milk and or soy, do not eat. Return to the place of purchase for a refund.
