Ginger Snap Cookies Recalled for Undeclared Eggs

Unified Grocers is recalling ginger snap cookies because they may contain undeclared eggs, one of the major food allergens. Anyone with an allergy or severe sensitivity to eggs could have a serious reaction if they consume this product. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this issue.

The recalled product is 12 ounce bags of “Special Value Ginger Snap Cookies” with UPC numberĀ 41380-23359 and best by date of SEP 23 14. The package is made of plastic. The cookies were distributed throughout California, Arizona, and Nevada in retail stores.

The recall was initiated after it was discovered that the bags were mistakenly packed with cinnamon sugar cookies that contain egg instead of the ginger snap cookies they were intended to contain. If you purchased this product and are allergic to eggs, return to the place of purchase for a refund.
