In Canada, Beverage Powders Recalled for Undeclared Milk

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency and Oh Green Biotech Ltd. are recalling beverage powders because they contain milk, one of the major food allergens, that is not declared on the label. A person with an allergy to milk could have a serious reaction if they consume these products. The recall was triggered by CFIA test results. No illnesses have been reported to date.

The products are Ferme Sunshine Almond Powder in 500 gram packages, with UPC number 4 710415 050373. Also recalled are Ferme Sunshine powders, all in 500 gram packages. You can see the long list of recalled products, along with pictures and UPC numbers, at the CFIA web site. The flavors include Pumpkin Seed, Black Fungus, Gingko, Fresh Yam, and Golden Buckwheat, among others. Finally, Oh Green Black Cereal powder in 600 gram packages is recalled, with UPC number 4 715409 892021. The products were distributed in British Columbia.

If you purchased these powders and are allergic to milk, do not use them. Discard them or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
