Pound Cake de Queso Recalled for Undeclared Allergens

La Orocovena Biscuit is voluntarily recalling Pound Cake de Queso because it contains undeclared milk, soy, and wheat, three of the major food allergens. Anyone with an allergy to milk, soy, and/or wheat could have a serious or life-threatening reaction if they consume this product. No illnesses or allergic reactions have been reported to date.

The Pound Cake de Queso was sold in 2 ounce packages. The expiration dates are 08/11/2014 to 10/12/2014. It was distributed to clients who sold it to retailers in Puerto Rico only from 06/11/2014 to 08/12/2014. FDA inspections discovered that the label did not mention the presence of the allergenic ingredients contained in the product’s sub-ingredients.

If you purchased this product and are allergic to milk, soy, and/or wheat, do not eat it. Discard or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
