Two Products Recalled in Canada for Undeclared Sulphites

Two products have been recalled in Canada for undeclared sulphites. There is no word about any allergic reactions being reported in association with the consumption of either of these products.

Recall SignThe first product is Zaika brand name Dry Apricot. This product was sold in several sizes. All codes where sulphites are not declared on the label are recalled. The 400 gram container has a UPC number of 4 43678 71449 5; some have no UPC number. The 200 gram container has a UPC number of 4 43678 71450 1; some have no UPC number. Manzoor A-1 Dry Apricots are also recalled; they were sold in 5 kg containers with no UPC number. These apricots were sold in Ontario.

Wolski brand prepared horseradish is being recalled for undeclared sulphites. The product was sold in 200 ml containers with a UPC number 6 64166 04436 2. The product was also sold in 250 ml containers with a UPC number of 6 64166 00013. The product was sold in Ontario at the retail level.

If you purchased either of these products and are allergic to sulphites, do not eat them. Discard or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
