Dole Recalls American Blend Salads for Possible Listeria Contamination

Dole Fresh Vegetables is recalling a limited number of cases of Dole American Blend Salad because it may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. No illnesses have been reported in connection with the consumption of this product.

The salad is sold in 12 ounce bags, coded A27508A or B, with use-by date of October 17, 2012. The UPC number is 7143000933. The salads were sold in Illinois, Indiana, Maine, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Wisconsin. The Tennessee Department of Agriculture found the bacteria in a random sample test.
