Troll Smokehouse Jalapeno Vienna Sausages Recalled for Undeclared MSG

Tri City Cheese and Meats of Michigan is recalling about 271 pounds of Jalapeño Vienna Sausage products because they contain monosodium glutamate (MSG), that is not declared on the label. MSG is a sub-ingredient used in the spice blend, but was not listed on the final product label. There have been no reports of adverse reactions linked to the consumption of this product.

The product is 1 and 2.5 pounce Cryovac bags of “Troll Smokehouse Fully Cooked Jalapeño Vienna.” The product has the establishment number “EST. 32015” inside the USDA mark of inspection. It was produced October 18, 2012 through November 6, 2012, and packages have a sell by date of “12/17/12″ through 01/03/13”. It was distributed to retail establishments in Michigan.
