Canadian Nut Butter and Nut Recall for Possible Salmonella

The Canadian Food Inspection Service (CFIA) is recalling nut butters, peanuts, sugar, and tahini from Vicrossano Inc. because they may contain Salmonella bacteria. There have been no reported illnesses to date reported in connection with the consumption of these products.

Recall All codes of the products are recalled. Products include peanut butter, tahini, almond butter, cashew butter, organic sugar, sesame butter, and roasted almonds, split peanuts, and roasted peanuts. The brand names include Tout Naturel, Yum Nature, Soeurs en Vrac, and products sold from bulk bins.

The products were distributed in Ontario and Quebec and may have been distributed in other provinces as well. If you can’t determine the original product identity, check with the retailer where you purchased the product.
