In Canada, Milano Brand Pastries Recalled for Undeclared Allergens

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Kuo Hua Trading Company are recalling two kinds of pastries because they contain undeclared egg, milk, and wheat, three of the major food allergens. Anyone with an allergy or severe sensitivity to those ingredients could have a serious or life-threatening reaction if they consume these products. There is no information about whether or not any allergic reactions have been reported.

Recall SignageThe recalled products are Milano Maple Sugar Raisins Pastry in 92 gram containers. The UPC number is 4 710098 163650. The pastry is recalled for undeclared egg, milk, and wheat. All codes are recalled where eggs, milk, and wheat are not declared on the label. Also recalled is Milano Black Thousand Layers Pastry in 104 gram packages. The UPC number is 4 710098 163674 and the allergen is wheat. All codes where wheat is not declared on the label are recalled. The pastures were sold in British Columbia and Ontario.

If you purchased these products and are allergic to eggs, milk, and/or wheat, do not eat them. Discard them or return to the place of purchase for a refund.
