Kuja Mishri Sugar Recalled in Canada for Sulphites

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Quality Natural Foods Canada are recalling Kuja Mishri Sugar because it contains sulphites (sulfites) that are not declared on the label. Anyone with an allergy to sulphites who consumes this product may have a serious reaction. There is no information about whether or not any illnesses or reactions have been reported.

RecallThe recalled product is Quality Brand Kuja Mishri Sugar in 200 gram packages. All codes are recalled where sulphites are not declared in the list of ingredients. The UPC number is 6 85441 00292 1. Also recalled is Quality Brand Kuja Mishri Sugar in 400 gram packages, again where sulphites are not declared on the label. The UPC number for that product is 6  85441 01028 5. 

If you purchased these products and are allergic to or sensitive to sulfites, do not consume them. Return them to the place of purchase for a refund.
