Updated Ortega and Las Palmas Taco Products Recall

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is updating the recall of Ortega and Las Palmas brand taco products for undeclared peanut and almond. Anyone with an allergy to peanuts and/or almonds (tree nuts) could have a life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products. No reactions or illnesses have been reported to date.

You can see the long list of recalled products at the CFIA site, including package sizes, product codes, and UPC numbers. They include Ortega Taco Dinner Kit, Ortega Taco Seasoning, Ortega Taco Sauce, Ortega Soft Taco Dinner Kit, Ortega Whole Grain Taco Kit, Ortega “Tacos for Two” Kit, Ortega Green Taco Sauce, Ortega Enchilada Sauce, Ortega Whole Wheat Soft Taco Kit, Las Palmas Taco Seasoning Packets, and Las Palmas Taco Sauce, among others. They were sold in Ontario and Quebec and may have been sold nationally.

If you purchased any of these products and are allergic to peanuts and/or almonds, do not eat them. Discard or return to the place of purchase for a full refund.
