Dinty Moore Beef Stew Recalled for Foreign Materials

Hormel Foods Corporation in Tucker, Ga. is recalling approximately 450 pounds of Dinty Moore Beef Stew that may  contain pieces of a broken flashlight. Consumers who have purchased the recalled product should not eat it.

Recall SignageThe recalled Dinty Moore Beef Stew items were produced on Jan. 26, 2016,  have the “Best By” date Feb. 2019 and production date T01266.  The establishment number “EST. 199G” appears inside the USDA mark of inspection.

The recalled stew was sold at Kroger locations in Texas and Louisiana beginning  February 1, 2016.

The problem was discovered during the plant’s routine inspection activities.At the time of the recall,  there had been no confirmed reports of injury adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.
