Frontera Skillet Sauce Recall for Undeclared Soy Expands

Frontera is expanding a recall Frontera Texas Original Taco Skillet Sauce for undeclared soy to include an additional 1,314 (8 oz.) packages. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to soy should not eat this product as they run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they do.

Attributing the expansion to a “distributor’s loss of control,” Frontera said products included in the expanded recall  were only distributed in the following states: California, Wyoming, Colorado, Arizona, Texas, Nevada and Utah.

The recalled product is sold in a printed 8 oz. pouch marked with a “BEST BY” date of “13 APR 17” on the bottom off the back side of the package.  The UPC code is: 6-04183-12170-7.

At the time of the recall, no illnesses had been reported.
