Nick’s Meatballs Recalled for Undeclared Egg and Milk

Nick’s of Calvert, in Maryland, is recalling about 305 pounds of ready to eat meatball products because they contain eggs and milk that are not declared on the product label. Anyone who is allergic to eggs and/or milk could have a serious reaction if they eat this product. No confirmed reports of adverse reactions have been received to date.

The recalled product is a 5 pound clear plastic package containing “Nick’s Fully Cooked Italian Style Meatballs.” The product does not have a USDA mark of inspection; that is not required for product sold at retail that is labeled under the retail exemption. There are also no other markings, including best before or use by dates. The product was sold in retail locations in Maryland.

If you purchased this product and are allergic to eggs and/or milk, do not eat it. Throw it away or take it back to the store where you bought it for a refund.
