Starway Incorporated of Brooklyn, NY is recalling Peony Mark Brand Biscuits because they contain undeclared milk and an unallowed color Ponceau 4R (E124). People with allergies or severe sensitivities to milk should not eat this product as they run the risk of serious or life threatening allergic reaction if they do.
Peony Mark Brand Biscuits is a product of China. It was distributed in uncoded and heat-sealed 6 oz. plastic bags nationwide.
The recall was initiated after routine product sampling and subsequent analysis by the New York State Dept. of Agriculture & Markets Food Inspectors. At the time of the recall, no illnesses had been reported.
