Six Dietary Supplements Recalled for Mislabeling

NOW Health Group is recalling a small quantity of six dietary supplements that are mislabeled because of a printing error. Two of the products, Goldenseal Root and Cranberry Extract have undeclared soy, one of the major food allergens. Anyone allergic to soy could have a serious reaction if they consume this product.The recall announcement states that “no other health hazards exist associated with the use of any of the other recalled products,” and gives no reason for the recall.

NOW dietary supplement recallThe recalled products are NOW® Goldenseal Root 500 mg 100 Caps with product code 4692 and lot number 1961645. Also recalled are NOW® Cranberry Ext Caps 90 VegCaps with product code 4632 and lot number 1961645. Those products are recalled for undeclared soy.

The other recalled products are NOW® Elderberry 500 mg 60 VegCaps with Product Code 4667 and lot 1966914, and NOW® Andrographis Ext 400 mg 90 VegCaps with product code 4591 and lot number 1966914. Also recalled are NOW® Gingko Biloba 60 mg 120 VegCaps with product code 4687 and lot number 1969778, and NOW® Burdock Root 430 mg 100 Caps with product code 4608 and lot number 1969778. The bottle is white plastic with a purple dlid and an orange NOW label. They were sold between February 2, 2016 and March 11, 2016. If you bought these products, stop using them and return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
