Trader Joe’s Bacon Ganache Recalled for Undeclared Coconut

Vosages LTD of Illinois is recalling about 135 pounds of Trader Joe’s Uncured Bacon Ganache Bar because it contains coconut, a known allergen, that is not declared on the label. The problem was discovered after the establishment received a consumer complaint, but there have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to the consumption of these products.

The recalled product is Trader Joe’s Uncured Bacon Ganache BarĀ in 3 ounce flow wrapped packages. The SKU number of the carton is 55001. The product has the establishment number “EST. 34647” inside the USDA mark of inspection. The bars were shipped to retail locations in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. They were packaged on January 15, 2016 to January 22, 2016 and are stamped with a BEST BY code of 03 SEP 2016.

If you purchased this product and are allergic to coconut, do not eat it. Throw it away or return it to the store where you bought it for a full refund.
