Atlas Meat Company Recalls Pork Sausage for Misbranding

Atlas Meat Company is recalling 2,579 pounds of pork sausage products for misbranding. The products may contain monosodium glutamate (MSG) that is not declared on the label. No confirmed reports of adverse reactions have been received to date.

The products were produced on various dates from October 12, 2016 through January 23, 2017. They include 0.80 to 1.5 pound vacuum-sealed or butcher paper wrapped packages containing “Atlas Meat Pork Breakfast SSg.” and 0.80 to 1.5 pound vacuum sealed or butcher paper wrapped packages containing “Atlas Meat Pork Italian ssg.” The sausages have the establishment number “EST. 40306” inside the USDA mark of inspection. They were sold directly to consumers at the firm’s Fort Collins, Colorado location and shipped to retail outlets in Colorado and Wyoming.’

If you purchased this product and cannot eat MSG, do not eat it. Throw it away or take it back to the place of purchase for a refund.
