Clean out your pantry or wherever you stored this product with a mild bleach solution after you discard the supplements. Wash your hands well with soap and water after handling them to avoid cross-contamination.

The symptoms of a Salmonella infection include fever, abdominal cramps and pains, vomiting, and diarrhea that can be bloody. If you have taken these supplements and have been experiencing these symptoms, call your doctor. Salmonella infections can have long term consequences, including endocarditis, arterial infections, reactive arthritis, eye irritation, and urinary twice symptoms.
