Two products have been recalled for undeclared egg. No illnesses or allergic reactions have been reported to date in connection with these issues.
The first recall is for A & A Finest, of Corona New York, is recalling about 572 pounds of frozen pork and shrimp dumplings because they contain egg, one of the major food allergens, that is not declared on the label.
The frozen, ready-to-cook pork and shrimp dumplings were packaged on date between May 2, 2017 and December 6, 2017. They are 37 cases containing 200 pieces of “PORK & SHRIMP SUI-MAI.” The item number is PS24-200, and packaging dates of 05/02/17, 06/23/17, 07/26/17, 11/29/17 and 12/06/17. This product has the establishment number “EST. 34524” inside the USDA mark of inspection. They were shipped to hotel restaurants in New York.
The problems was discovered on February 20, 2018 during routine FSIS label certifications. The dumpling wrapper label includes pasteurized liquid whole eggs and egg whites in the ingredient list, but the finished label does not declare egg, which is required by law.
The second recall is for Sezam Kale Salad, produced by Market of Choice of Eugene, Oregon. This product was sold in the deli cases between February 14, 2018 and February 20, 2018 at some Market of Choice retail stores in Oregon.
Those stores are: Market of Choice at 2580 Willakenzie Avenue Eugene, OR 97401; Market of Choice at 1960 Franklin Blvd Eugene, OR 97405; Market of Choice at 1060 Green Acres Road Eugene, OR 97408; Market of Choice at 67 West 29th Avenue Eugene, OR 97405; Market of Choice at 6639 Hood Street Eugene, OR 97068; Market of Choice at 250 NW Lost Springs Terrace Portland, OR 97229; and Market of Choice at 1475 Siskyou Blvd Ashland, OR 97520. The salad dressing contains egg, but the label did not reveal the presence of that ingredient.
If you purchased these products and are allergic to egg, do not eat them. Throw them away or take them back to the store where you bought them for a full refund.
