Sunrise Poultry Products Recalled for No Import Inspection

Sunrise Poultry Processors of Alberta, Canada is recalling about 2,705 pounds of poultry products that were not presented at the U.S. point of entry for inspection. Without the benefit of full inspection, a possibility of adverse health consequences exists. No reports of illness or adverse reactions have been received to date. The recalled items include 4o pound bulk cases of "Sunrise Poultry Chicken Thighs", 25 pound cases of "Sunrise Poultry Chicken Thighs Boneless", 25 pound cases of "Sunrise Poultry Boneless Chicken Breast", and 2.5 pound cases of "Sunrise Poultry Chicken Whole Fryer." The Canadian Food Inspection Agency and Mountainoak Cheese are recalling Mountainoak Cheese brand Farmstead Premium Dutch Semi-soft cheese products because they may be contaminated with Salmonella bacteria. No illnesses have been reported in connection with the consumption of these products. The real led products are Mountainoak Cheese Farmstead Premium Dutch Semi-soft Cheese - Mild in variable sizes with various or no UPC numbers. It was used at restaurants from January 12, 2015 up to and including February 10, 2015. Whole Foods Recalls Products Made with Cumin

Whole Foods Market is recalling foods made with cumin that may contain undeclared peanut, one of the major food allergens. People with an allergy to peanuts could have a life-threatening reaction if they consume these products. No illnesses have been reported to date. The recalled food items include prepared salads, seasoned meat items, tacos, and other seasoned foods. They were sold at Whole Foods Market stores in Connecticut, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia, and Washington D.C. Spiceco Recalls Paprika for Undeclared Peanuts

Update: The recalled paprika was not distributed to Virginia, as stated in the original FDA recall announcement. This post has been updated to reflect that change. Spiceco of New Jersey is recalling Pride of Szeged Paprika because it may contain peanut allergens. Tests by the Tennessee Department of Agriculture discovered the allergen in a sample of the product. People with an allergy to peanuts could have a serious allergic reaction if they eat this product.
