Food Products Recalled in Canada for Undeclared Allergens

Many food products have been recalled in Canada for undeclared fish and/or wheat. Anyone who is allergic to those ingredients could have a serious or life-threatening infection if they eat these products. No illnesses have been reported associated with the consumption of these products. You can see the long list of recalled products, along with package sizes, code dates, and UPC numbers, at the CFIA web site. The brand names recalled include Mannarich Food, Mannarich Food Stop, and Ocean Chinese Food Products. Zzang! Candy Bars Recalled for Undeclared Allergens

The FDA's Weekly Enforcement Report for the week of February 17, 2016 includes a recall for Zingerman's Candy Manufactory Zzang! candy bars for undeclared allergens soy, and milk, two of the major food allergens. Anyone allergic to those ingredients could have a serious reaction if they consume these products. These products were sold in Michigan, New York, Ohio, California, Iowa, Illinois, New Hampshire, Washington DC, Pennsylvania, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Montana, Mississippi, Nevada, Tennessee, and Virginia. Fresh Express Recalls Chopped Romaine for Allergens

Fresh Express is recalling a limited quantity of chopped Romaine salad because it contains food allergens milk, wheat, eggs, and fish that are not declared on the package label. Anyone who is allergic to those ingredients could have a serious reaction if they eat this product. No allergic reactions or illnesses have been reported to date. Sealed condiment packages containing individual servings of dressing, croutons, and Parmesan cheese used in the brand's Caesar salads were mistakenly placed in a limited quantity of the chopped Romaine product. The recall of Home Maid Ravioli products for misbranding and undeclared allergens has been expanded to include more products. The product were produced on various dates between September 18, 2015 and January 20, 2016. Some of the products contain whey, a milk allergen, and pork, that are not declared on product labels. Berks Packing Recalls Knockwurst for Misbranding

Berks Packing Company of Pennsylvania is recalling 1,320 pounds of beef products that are misbranded. They may contain pork and erythorbate, a food additive, that are not declared on the label. No confirmed reports of adverse reactions have been received to date. The recalled product is 1-pound plastic shrink wrapped packages containing links of "BERKS Heat & Serve Knockwurst." The packages have a sell by date of March 11, 2016. They were produced on November 12, 2015. The sausages have the establishment number "EST. 8782" inside the USDA mark of inspection. AA USA Trading of New Jersey is recalling both dried kiwi and dried mango products because they may contain undeclared sulfites and FD&C colors. Anyone who is allergic to those ingredients or has severe sensitivity to them could have a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they eat these products. No illnesses have been reported to date. The products were sold in retail stores in New York and New Jersey beginning July 2014. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is recalling Taramosalata products because they contain milk and sulphites, two food allergens, that are not declared on the label. This is a spread made from fish roe, olive oil, lemons, and sometimes potatoes. Anyone who is allergic to those ingredients or has lactose intolerance could become seriously ill if they eat these products.
