While the original recall notice said that no illnesses have been reported, the new press release did not have that information. The recalling firm is Quaker Oats Company of Chicago, Illinois. Quaker Quinoa Granola Bars Recalled for Listeria
Quaker Quinoa Granola Bars are being recalled for Listeria. Consumers who have purchased these products should not eat them as Listeria can cause serious illness. The Quaker Oats Company, a subsidiary of PepsiCo Inc., issued the recall after it was notified by a supplier that sunflower kernels used to make the granola bars may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. Most of the affected granola bars dis not reach store shelves. But some did.
