Izzie Macs, Baby Bruddah Macadamia Nut Products recalled for Salmonella

Mahina Mele Farms is recalling Izzie Macs! Macadamia nuts and Baby Bruddah brand nut butter for Salmonella. Consumers who have purchased these products should not eat them. Salmonella causes serious, sometimes fatal illness. Symptoms include fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. In some cases, where the bacteria moves to the bloodstream, more severe illnesses can occur such as arterial infections and endocarditis. The recalled products were  distributed to retail stores in Alaska, California, Hawaii, Maryland, and Virginia from Oct 21- Nov 25, 2015 and have on of  three lot numbers:026, 027, 029.
