Savencia Cheeses Recalled For Possible Listeria Contamination

Savencia Cheeses are being recalled for possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. These soft and ripened cheeses are sold through limited regional distribution in the U.S. No illnesses have been reported to the company to date in connection with the consumption of these products. Processing equipment at the site may have been contaminated with the pathogen. The recalling firm is Savencia Cheese USA of New Holland, Pennsylvania. The cheeses were manufactured in the company's Lena facility. The Best Buy date for all of these products is 12/24/2024. The recalled products include Emporium Selection Brie packaged in 12/8 ounce containers. Soft Cheeses Recalled in Canada For Possible Listeria Outbreak

There are soft cheeses recalled in Canada for a possible Listeria monocytogenes outbreak. The cheeses, which are produced under two brand names: Le Fromage au Village and La Vache à Maillotte, are implicated but further lab testing is going on to confirm the link, according to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA). The cheeses were sold in Ontario and Quebec at the retail level. They have also been sold online and may have been sold in other provinces and territories. The recalled products include La Vache à Maillotte Mélo-Dieux – Surface-ripened soft cheese that is packaged in about 275 gram containers. There is no UPC number on the product.
