Quaker Rice Crisps Sweet Barbecue Flavor Recalled for Undeclared Soy

The Quaker Oats Company has issued a recall for 3.03 oz. bags of Quaker Rice Crisps Sweet Barbecue Flavor because they may contain undeclared soy ingredients. Consumers with soy severe soy allergies should not eat this product as it may induce a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction. At the time of the recall, the company was unaware of any reports of illness. The recalled product has a "best before" date off May 29, 2021. It was sold at retail stores in the following states: Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Nebraska, New York, Nevada, North Carolina, Oregon, Tennessee, Utah, Virginia, and Washington. Hiland Dairy Recalls Chocolate Whole Milk for Undeclared Egg

Hiland Dairy of Kansas City, MO has issued a recall for half-gallons of chocolate whole milk because they contain undeclared egg. People who with allergies or sensitivities to eggs should not drink this product as they risk a life-threatening allergic reaction if they do. At the time of the recall, no illnesses had been linked to the product. The recalled product, which may contain eggnog, was sold at grocery stores in Kansas City, Topeka, Kansas and St. Joseph, Missouri. It was sold in plastic half-gallon jugs with the UPC num er 0-7206000128-0, the "Sell by" date Dec 13, 2018, and the Plant Code: 29-162. Other Hiland Dairy products are not affected by this recall. HyVee Recalls Pizza for Undeclared Soy

Eight varieties of Hy-Vee pizzas are being recalled from all six Twin Cities Hy-Vee stores because they may contain soy, one of the major food allergens, that is not declared on the label. Anyone who is allergic to soy could have a serious reaction if they eat these products. No reactions have been reported to date. The take-and-bake Hy-Vee brand pizzas were distributed in New Hope, Oakdale, Lakeville, Brooklyn Park, Eagan and Savage, near the stores’ Italian departments and prepared-meal areas. Orthodox Baking Co. Recalls Chocolate Kokosh Cake for Undeclared Almond Paste

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced a recall by Orthodox Baking Co. of its Oberlander Gluten Free Brand “Chocolate Kokosh Cake.” The chocolate-filled cake may contain almond paste that is not declared on its labeling. Orthodox Baking Co. is located in Belleville, New Jersey. Orthodox Baking Co. voluntarily issued the recall on April 5, 2017, after it received a report, as yet unconfirmed, that a consumer had suffered an allergic reaction upon eating the product. Further investigation revealed that the ingredients list on the labelling indicated the presence of “kernel paste” rather than “almond paste.” Oberlander Gluten Free Brand “Chocolate Kokosh Cake” was shipped nationwide to supermarkets and retail stores. Figi’s Classic Marzipan Recalled for Undeclared Almonds

Figi's Companies Inc. of Marshfield, Wis. is recalling 8 ounce packages of Classic Marzipan for undeclared almonds. People who have allergies to almonds should not eat this product as they run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they do. The recalled "Classic Marzipan" was distributed nationwide through mail orders and at one retail outlet. It was sold in a kraft colored corrugated container with red printed decorations including the Figi's Logo, labeled with a white and red product label in the upper right hand corner that identifies the item as 100-0034-200 "Classic Marzipan." The recalled 12 oz. packages, sold in CT, DE, FL, GA, MA, ME, MD, NC, NH, NJ, NY, OH, PA, RI, VA. have the Product Code  G010A17A and Use-By Date of January 24. The UPC is 0 71279 27111 8. The recall was issues after it was discovered that a portion of a single almond had inadvertently been introduced into the production supply.
