Simply Balanced Pork Chile Verde Recalled for Undeclared Wheat

Culinary Brands Inc. of Vernon, Calif.  is recalling approximately 4,038 pounds of pork products due to misbranding and an undeclared allergen, wheat. The pork product was mistakenly mislabeled and may contain a mushroom risotto which contains wheat, which is not declared on the product label. The pork chile verde product was produced on March 30 and April 2, 2015. It was sold in 9-oz. plastic tray packages labeled “Simply Balanced Pork Chile Verde” bearing the lot #A5089G2 with the establishment number “EST. 6009” inside the USDA mark of inspection. They were sold at retail stores nationwide. There have been no reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products. Old World Meats of Duluth, Minn. is recalling approximately 12 pounds of roast beef products due to misbranding and the undeclared allergen, soy. Consumers who have allergies to soy should not eat this product. The recalled sliced roast beef was produced on April 3 and May 8, 2015 and sold in .5-lb. packages containing “OLD WORLD MEATS TOP ROUND ROAST BEEF.” The recalled packages have the establishment number “EST.34448” inside the USDA mark of inspection. Walker’s Pork Products Recalled for Undeclared Soy

Walker's Foods of Carrollton, Ga. is recalling approximately 46,612 pounds of pork with sauce products for undeclared soy. People with allergies to soy should not eat these products as they risk allergic reaction if they do. The recalled products, produced between May 1, 2014 and May 7, 2015, have the establishment numbers "EST. 9062" inside the USDA mark of inspection. They were were shipped for institutional distribution and to retail stores in Alabama and Georgia.  They include: 38,462.5 lbs. Corn Maiden Foods Inc. of  Harbor City, Calif.  is recalling approximately 15,600 pounds of pork tamales, pork Yucatan, and beef brisket taquitos for undeclared soy. Consumers with a soy allergy should not eat these products. La Guadalupana Tamales Recalled for Undeclared Egg White

La Guadalupana Wholesale in Chicago is recalling Hot Chicken, Hot Pork and Salsa Verde Vegan tamales for undeclared egg white. Consumers with egg allergies should not eat these products as they risk severe reaction if they do. The recalled products were sold throughout the Illinois, Wisconsin and Indiana between January 16, 2015 and April 8, 2015. The problem was caused when a supplier sent a different corn starch, one that contained egg white, and it was used to make La Guadalupana’s Salsa Verde Sauce. Giant Eagle Recalls Raisin, Apricot Filled Cookies for Undeclared Milk

Giant Eagle is recalling bakery cookies filled with raisin or apricot for the undeclared allergen, milk. Consumers with a milk allergy should not eat these cookies as they run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they do. The recalled cookies were sold individually from the bakery department service counters at Giant Eagle and Market District supermarkets through March 20.  Giant Eagle is aware of 62 Giant Eagle and Market District customers  in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland and West Virginia who purchased the recalled cookies. No illnesses had been reported at the time of the recall.
