The pork product was mistakenly mislabeled and may contain a mushroom risotto which contains wheat, which is not declared on the product label. The pork chile verde product was produced on March 30 and April 2, 2015. It was sold in 9-oz. plastic tray packages labeled “Simply Balanced Pork Chile Verde” bearing the lot #A5089G2 with the establishment number “EST. 6009” inside the USDA mark of inspection. Giant Eagle is recalling bakery cookies filled with raisin or apricot for the undeclared allergen, milk. Consumers with a milk allergy should not eat these cookies as they run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they do. The recalled cookies were sold individually from the bakery department service counters at Giant Eagle and Market District supermarkets through March 20.
