United Salad Company is recalling products made with mangoes that may be contaminated with Salmonella. The recall is associated with the recall involving Food Source Tromorrow’s Tropical and Agricola Daniella mangoes. The recall notice states that “there have been no reported illnesses attributed to the recalled items. United Salad Co. is issuing this voluntary recall linked to the supplier’s Tropical Mangoes recall to minimize risk to the public health.”
You can see the list of recalled products, which includes Island Medley, Island Fruit Medley, Fruit Mix Ensalada, cut mango products, Salsa, and whole mangoes, at the FDA site. The products were distributed to retailers and supermarkets from 9/1/12 to 9/17/12 in Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington.
