Oberto’s Recalls Chicken Strips for Quality Issues

oberto-recallOberto’s Brands of Kent, Wa. is recalling approximately 57,578 pounds of chicken strips for quality issues. Consumers who have purchased the recalled product should not eat it.

The products under recall include 3 oz, 5.75 oz and 16 oz.  film bags of “Smokey Sweet BBQ Style Chicken Strips” and 2.75 oz, 3, 5.75 oz, 9 oz and 16 oz. film bags of “Spicy Buffalo Style Chicken Strips.” The products were sold at retail stores an through internet sales.

The Smokey Sweet BBQ Style Chicken Strips were produced from May 14, 2014 through July 28, 2014. The Spicy Buffalo Style Chicken Strips were produced from May 16, 2014 to August 6, 2014. The recalled products have the establishment number “P4837” on the package.

The company discovered the problem and has determined that it is a quality control issue and that there are no food safety hazards. There have been no reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about a reaction should contact a healthcare provider.
