Safeway Recalls Angel Food Cake for Undeclared Soy, Milk

Safeway is recalling six angel food cake products because they contain the undeclared allergens soy and milk. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to soy or milk should not eat these products as they may cause a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they do.

Recall SignageThe recalled products were sold in all Safeway, Carrs, Dominick’s, Genuardi’s, Pak ‘N Save, Pavilions, Randalls, Tom Thumb and Vons stores throughout the United States. No illnesses or injuries have been reported in association with this recall. People who are not allergic or sensitive to soy or milk can consume these products.

The recalled products have the the UPC number 2113010510 and the following Sell By dates which are located  on the product label or the white scale label. Angel Food Cake,  9/1/13 to 10/1/2013; Holiday Decorated Angel Food Cake, 9/1/13 to 10/1/2013; Angel Food Cups 4 Count 9/1/13 to 10/1/2013; Cake Angel Food Loaf 9/1/13 to 10/1/2013; Angel Food Cake Fruit Topped 9/1/13 to 10/1/2013; Angel Food Cake Fruit Topped 9/1/13 to 10/2/2013.
