Pleasant House Bakery of Chicago is recalling an undetermined amount of steak and chicken pie products that were distributed without the benefit of inspection and contain undeclared allergens, including eggs, milk, and wheat.
Consumers with those food allergies should not eat these products. At the time of the recall there had been no reports of illness.
The recalled products, produced between January 1, 2014, and August 14, 2015, were 10-oz. of individually wrapped products labeled “Steak & Ale Pie.” and 10-oz. of individually wrapped products labeled “Chicken Balti Pie.” They were distributed to restaurants and retail establishments in Chicago and New Buffalo, Mich.
