Braga Organic Recalls Pistachios, Mixes for Salmonella

Brag Organic Farms is voluntarily recalling pistachios and trail and nut mixes made with pistachios because the nuts may be contaminated with Salmoenlla bacteria. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this recall.

Braga Pistachio Salmonella RecallThe nuts were distributed in California, Oregon, and Washington in retail stores, and nationwide through online sales. You can see the long list of products and pictures of labels, package sizes, UPC numbers, and best by or purchase date numbers at the FDA web site. The recalled products are Raw Pistachios Kernels, Trail Mix, and Nut Mix. They all have dates in December 2015 through 2016. The products is in a clear or green standup bag, with the date code stamped on the bottom of the bag.

If you purchased any of these products, do not eat them. Throw them away in a sealed bag or container so other people and animals can’t eat them, or return them to the place of purchase for a full refund.
