Ha Noi Mung Bean Cake Recalled in Canada for Undeclared Allergens

Ha Noi Restaurant in Ontario, Canada is recalling their brand Mung Bean Moon Cake because it contains egg and wheat, two of the major food allergens, that are not declared on the label. Anyone who is allergic to those ingredients, or has celiac disease, could have a serious reaction if they consume this product. There is one illness reported in connection to the consumption of this product.

The recalled product is Ha Noi brand Mung Bean Moon Cake in 160 gram packages. All codes where egg and wheat are not declared on the label are recalled. There is no UPC number on the product. The recall was triggered by a consumer complaint. The product was sold in Ontario at the retail level.

If you purchased this product and are allergic to wheat and/or egg, do not eat it. Throw it away or take it back to the store where you bought it for a full refund.
