Wegmans Recalls Muffins for Undeclared Walnuts

Warning Recall SignThe grocery chain Wegmans has recalled 4-packs of muffins from its stores because these may include a banana nut muffin which contains walnuts, which were not mentioned on the packaging’s ingredients list or allergy warning. As the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) reports, the containers affected by this recall are marked with the UPC code 77890-22744.

People who are allergic to walnuts run the risk of life-threatening illness should they consume these muffins. The four-packs should either be thrown away or returned to their place of purchase for a full refund.
