The food recall warning issued on May 11, 2017 in Canada for E. coli O121 in Ardent Mills flour has been updated. While there is an E. coli outbreak in Canada associated with flour, there are no confirmed illnesses associated with the products named in this recall. You can see the long list of products, the brand name, package size, codes on the product, UPC numbers, and photos at the CFIA web site. Brand names included in this recall are Creative Baker, Brodie, Golden Temple, Robin Hood, and Purity. If you purchased any of these products, do not use them even if they are going to be baked. There is an outbreak associated with flour in that country, but the notice states that "there have been no confirmed illnesses associated with the products identified in this Food Recall Warning." E. coli Outbreak Linked to Robin Hood Flour Sickens 25 in Canada

An E. coli O121 outbreak linked to Robin Hood flour in Canada has sickened at least 25 people, according to the Public Health Agency of Canada. All patients identified in this outbreak have samples with E. coli bacteria that match genetically. This outbreak is reminiscent of the 2016 E. coli outbreak in the United States linked to General Mills flour. And it's another reminder that flour is a raw agricultural product, can be contaminated with pathogenic bacteria, and should never be eaten raw. The flour has been recalled.
